Mel and Mel eat at: BFT's

BFT's is a bar on the west side of Yonge, and a friendly place. We have been made welcome by everyone who has waited on us here. The place is rowdy and has many noisy regulars, who obviously enjoy it.

They have specials which make for some very cheap meals, if you go on the right night. A burger and fries, for example, is only $1.99 on Thursdays. The food tends to be a bit spicy, which is good for me, but Mel prefers it plainer.

Some of the tables could benefit from having more even legs, or a more even floor. I once had a friend who said, "If I ran a restaurant, the first thing I would do is make sure I had no tippy tables!"

BFT's serves Coke drinks (though the menu says Pepsi), and all the normal things that bars serve. Stick with the bar food, which is good.

If you're wondering why it's called BFT's, so did we. The server told us that she wasn't sure if it stood for anything. She heard that when it opened, they held a competition to see who could come up with the best explanation.
